Cool concept. Well shot too. Maybe a little under exposed but over all very good. :+fav:

beautiful b&w
beautiful composition

Nice composition in this one, but I think your lighting is a bit off - it's too dark to make out the details clearly. It's a good concept; I don't think I've seen it before, despite all the chessboard shots on dA. Also - that blurred mass in the background is quite distracting. Otherwise, pretty good!

I really like this one... very cool concept... clean picture, sharp detail... contrast is a little soft... If it had bee a little higher the pieces might have shined a little better... very good delivery on a cool concept... BTW, Mate in 4...

I love chess and this photo! :D
Well done!

Very nicely done, although I think I would like it more if there was a wider range in the lighter colours, and if the point of focus was further in front of the two pawns.

I'm not sure if you know this (sorry if you do!), but in photography, from the point of focus, 1/3 in front and 2/3 behind the actual point are in focus, so you can quite often get away with having the focus further in front, but not further in back.

Strange things are happening everyday, and its got to the point where the strange things are beginning to feel normal...

Love the contrast man . . . totally solid. I'm sending you a certificate in the mail for a job well done!
